What an amazing opportunity to connect with over 80 participants from across Canada. All the topics presented were inspiring despite I did not get a chance to drop in every breakout room. It was inspiring to hear experts’ opinions on specific topics. One of the most interesting and resourceful topics for me was the preparation for the practicum because there were many useful tips. I am very nervous about my first practicum and the tips I have received during this EdCamp will immensely help me through the process of my practicum.

Another topic was the Indigenous ways of knowing the presenter was very inspiring and how she acknowledges that it is ok to be an outsider to work in the First Peoples’ communities. I always want to go and work with the Indigenous population. But I was nervous and did not know if I will be capable to serve the Indigenous population.  From this camp, I found so many good resources on the google docs shared by my cohort and others in the group. These resources would be significantly helpful for me to develop a deeper understanding and learn about First Peoples’ ways of knowing.
